The update contains patches that Intel has recently announced in reaction to various threats, including Microarchitectural Data Sampling Uncacheable Memory (CVE-2019-11091), Store Buffer Data Sampling (CVE-2018-12126), Load Port Data Sampling (CVE-2018-12127), and Fill Buffer Data Sampling (CVE-2018-12130), and it’s available for Intel’s 9th Gen Coffee Lake, 8th Gen Whiskey Lake and Sandy Bridge, Atom Valley View, Pentium and Celeron Valley View and Baytail, 7th Gen Kaby Lake, 6th Gen Skylake, Ivy Bridge, and many other processors. The Windows 10 update KB4558130 is an standalone update targeted at Windows 10 version 1909 and 1903, and Windows Server 2019. In addition, the update ships with microcode updates that Intel already released for these operating systems. According to the company, the update will be available as an automatic update through Windows Update on devices using one of the Intel processors vulnerable to the newly announced threats.
