Let’s begin with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, this is the third generation of the super thin and light laptop. It features a WQHD 14-inch display and PCIe SSD with up to an 80% faster storage speed. According to the company, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon has a battery that last all day, and all under three pounds. The X1 Carbon runs on Intel’s fifth-generation Broadwell processors. Customers can choose from 4GB or 8GB of RAM configuration, LTE connectivity, and regular SATA or PCIe SSD. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon will start selling later in January, and base price starts at $1,249. Then Lenovo is also expanding it ThinkPad portfolio with the ThinkVision X24, a new beautiful 24-inch monitor measuring only 7.5mm thin. The display is an IPS panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It comes with the option of a DisplayPort or HDMI connectivity. The X24 will be available in April for $249. Moving on with the rest of the Lenovo lineup for 2015, the company has also introducing a new 14-inch YOGA 3 model that fits into a 13-inch chassis, which reduces the bezel size. Because the tablet is from the YOGA family, you’ll get the 360 degree flexibility and different modes to use the hybrid Windows 8.1 device. The YOGA 3 14-inch model runs up to the fifth-generation of Intel Core i7 processors and it features a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels display. The device measures 18.3mm thick, which is a little bit thicker compared to the 12.7mm body on the YOGA 3 Pro, but it has the option for Nvidia graphics. Lenovo also has an 11-inch model of the YOGA 3 with all the same features found in the 14-inch model. Both models will be available in March, in black, orange, silver, and new chalk white color. The 11-inch model starts at $799, while the 14-inch model will start at $979. The company will also expand its ThinkPad YOGA line by adding a new 14-inch and 15-inch models to the current 12-inch model. All these devices will run Intel’s fifth-generation Core i processors, new trackpad, bringing back the three-button layout, and up to 1TB of storage. The company is also going to back to physical function keys on the ThinkPad. The ThinkPad YOGA 15-inch model offers Intel’s 3D Real Sense camera, which will add Kinect-like functionality to the device. The ThinkPad YOGA 12 has a price tag of $999, while the 14-inch and 15-inch models has a base price of $1,199. All three ThinkPad YOGA models will be available in the coming months. Moving on, Lenovo is also including the 8-inch YOGA Tablet 2, which is a new tablet that offers four modes: hold, tilt, stand, and hang, so you can use the tablet any way you like. The Tablet 2 comes with the Lenovo AnyPen Technology, which allows users to use any pen or pencil, or a carrot for that matter, to write directly onto the screen. As for entry-level laptops, Lenovo is introducing the new Flex 3, which now supports the 360-degree hinge in 11-inch, 14-inch, and 15-inch models. While these new Windows 8.1 PCs are not meant for power or built quality, but they are very affordable at $399, $549, and $579 respectively. These new laptops will be available in May.
