Apple has already hand-picked who will be attending the media event later today at 1pm ET / 10am PT, but for everyone else that didn’t get an invite, the company will offer a live stream, but there is a catch… The catch is that the live stream requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later. Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. To watch the event on Apple TV, users are required to have the second- or third-gen of the device with software 6.2 or later. As you can see, Apple isn’t showing any love for Windows users, previous events only required for Windows users to install QuickTime 7 or later, but not today. Download and install VLC for Windows Install it and everything, make sure it works correctly. Open the program. Click on Media (top left) > Open Network Stream.
